New city, who dis?

Yoooo … I know it’s been 5 years since I wrote my last post but I am back with more stories. Let’s pick up from where we left off. They year was 2008 and I woke up right next to a dunkin donuts, sadly I couldn’t get donuts because I was broke but I used my coins to finally call my mom and reported to her my current status. She told me Maria was on her way to JFK airport to pick me up.

Hold on… remember Maria? Lol No? ok … Maria was supposed to travel with me and help me out to get to USA with no problem but unfortunately she got detained at the airport because she forgot to declare some food from Peru. Anyways, I heard my name through the airport speaker so I immediately ran to the airports security office. There she was, she seemed upset and sick but did not say a word to me.

NYC is a humongous city with many cars; it took us 1 hour to go from the airport to her friend house in Queens to spend the night. We were programmed to leave tomorrow morning to Upstate NY where my mom was. It was extremely cold outside but I felt relief I was going to sleep in a bed! – However, in my mind, I wanted to go back to Peru so bad. It was not a good start in a new country with a different language…. 2 minutes later… I passed out zzz..

The next morning, I still couldn’t believe I was in a different country like wtf? … but I got up, breakfast was served and Maria  was already sitting at the table. She still did not look very good, I asked her “ What is wrong?” she told me she has diabetes and her blood sugar level was super high, she needed to go to the hospital.😲
